Is it best to sell my car first?
It’s a misconception that selling your existing car first before looking at a new car will result in a better deal. In fact, we’d argue the opposite!
Selling your car first also means you’re left in the inconvenient position of potentially having no car to get around in. With a Part Exchange, you can drive to our showroom and drive away in your new car, usually same-day.
Will I get less for my car as a Part Exchange?
Going to one of the We Buy Your Car style websites often means your car will be then sent to auction, to be purchased by a dealer like us.
In other words, these types of websites are a middleman. You’ll frequently find you will get offered more at a used car dealership. There’s no harm in getting a valuation of your car to see how it compares, and then see if the dealer can do better.
Because you’re buying another car from the dealer, quite often you’ll be able to get a preferential deal over someone who has no part exchange. Why? Because your old car could be something the dealer sells, saving them the time and resource in seeking more stock.
My car’s not worth much; will you still take it?
Absolutely. We have a diverse range of used cars amongst our 300+ stock, and that could include your Part Exchange! Even if we decide not to retail your old car, we will be able to find someone who does. With an extensive trade network, that means we can offer a valuation regardless.
Likewise, don’t worry if there’s a few scuffs and scrapes. With our in-house Preparation Centre, this is all par for the course and needn’t discourage you.
Does it matter if my cars on finance?
It’s actually more common to find customers who already have finance in place. We’ve written more about it in our dedicated blog on the subject, but in short, it’s no problem – we can buy a car on existing finance.
